The official UK register of licensed gymnastics coaches.

 

Applications are open for qualified gymnastic and trampoline coaches to register

 

Register of licensed coaches in the UK whose governing bodies represent the interests of at least one of the  recognised gymnastic disciplines and class their members as 'gymnastics coaches.'

What this register does:

 

1) Coaches with a good track record may apply to become a licensed coach and be included on the register. In order for a coach to be accepted onto the register, they have to satisfy a number of safeguarding criterion.

There is currently no charge.

 

2) When a club, centre or school wish to engage a particular coach, they can submit a request to find out if that coach has been accepted onto the register and that the information provided to the employer matches the register.

For example: current qualifications, body or bodies the coach belongs to, DBS status and insurance.

There is currently no charge.

 

In 2024, the function of the register will be expanded as follows:
A club, centre or school looking for a coach may request a list of coaches in their area, whose qualifications match their requirements.
Coaches will be given the option when registering of whether or not they
would like their details made available to potential employers who are looking for coaches in their area.
Coaches will be given a further option of having their details made available
to prospective employers, but without their contact information.
When this option is chosen, the register administrator will provide a message forwarding service.

   

Coaches

The register is continually being updated as new coaches are registered.

The current sponsor of the register is GymJamz, who are covering all set up costs for 2023,  so there will be no  charge for all coaches registered by 31st  December 2023.

In order to be accepted onto the register, coaches have to satisfy a number of safeguarding criterion.

Independent Gymnastics Affiliation

UK Cheerleading
